Back Gammon is the first KWPN approved stallion by the legendary jumping stallion Montender. Montender (Contender x Burggraaf)  was successful in World Cup, Nations Cup and Grand Prix competitions. Ridden by German rider Marco Kutscher at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 he jumped a double clear in the nation’s cup, winning both the team and individual bronze medal. At the 2005 European championships in San Patrignano he won two gold medals, both the team and individual.

Back Gammon’s mother Paloma is a keur mare by Heartbreaker. The  beautiful and appealing keur preferent mare Kyra performed very well at the mare performance test and just like the famous show jumper Joël (Gert – Jan Bruggink) she is an offspring of Ekstein (s. Zion). Kyra is also a full sister of international show jumper Ivar, and mother to  the approved KWPN stallion Vincenzo (s. Numero Uno)as well as former international jumper Otto (s. Peter Pan).
This damline brought, among others, the approved stallion Toulon (s. Heartbreaker) as well as International jumpers such as Illusion, Looping, Pontiac, Sundance Kid and the fantastic Okidoki, World champion in 2006 and bronze medal winner at the Windsor European championships.
