Van Gogh and Marco Kutcher win CSI5* GP in Valkenswaard16 august 2015In the very strong field of competitors in Valkenswaard where as many
as 18 of the 20 highest placed riders in the world had appeared to start
was the steadily falling rain headsman. Only six combinations appeared
in the jump off, including Van Gogh
(Numero Uno x Movera pref perst v.Bernstein,
breeder Partnership Stultiens in Weert). The kickoff was for Henk van de Pol with the twelve year old Willink
(Twister from Lorraine v.Landsieger, breeder WM Lisman from Utrecht). He
rode a clear round in the time of 36.80. That was not enough. Another two
combinations followed and ended clear in a better time. At last Kutscher
rode in with his approved stallion Van Gogh.
With a clear and fast ride in the super time of 34.86 seconds, the profit
was his! Kutscher at the press conference: "I still can not believe it at all.
Van Gogh did not jump that much at this
level and he did a fantastic job. Simon Delestre left open the door slightly
for me and I'm grateful for it. This victory is extra special. He laughs:
"So far I have not been able to achieve a victory, then a win at a five
star round is a very good start." Source: KWPN Back
