Lambrasco wins Aachen Grand Prix!

18 july 2011

An incredible achievement of Libero H son Cellagon’s Lambrasco and his rider Janne- Frederike Meyer in Aachen yesterday. They were the only double clear on Sunday afternoon in the biggest and most important Grand Prix of the year. In a very difficult second round none of the 10 clears from the first round managed to stay on 0 points, Cellagon’s Lambrasco ones again showed the class and fighting spirit just like his father Libero H had. A fantastic and well deserved win for this amazing horse and his rider Janne- Frederike Meyer.

Brazilian rider Alvaro de Miranda Neto performed well in Aachen with his horse AD Wilbert Z, by Picasso Z out of a Numero Uno mother. They were placed several times in the 1.45m classes.

An emotional moment for Meredith Michaels Beerbaum after the Grand Prix as she announced the retirement of her phenomenal horse, Shutterfly.  Shutterfly competed in Aachen and at 18 years of age he won the Grand Prix of Europe on Wednesday showing he was still in top form. Together with Shutterfly Meredith won many Grand Prix’s, five new Mercedes cars and among many other things this pair won the World Cup finals three times! A well deserved retirement for this amazing, once in a lifetime horse.
