Numero Uno offspring Champion Eventing horse

18 august 2009

Ermelo – Numero Uno offspring Z.K.H. Zion won the first KNHS / KWPN Championship for 5-year-old eventing horses.

Ridden by Dutch rider Sandra Jeuker, the 5-year-old Numero Uno x Ircolando gelding was placed third after the dressage test.  Judges Mr. Nanning and Mr. Bril praised the gelding for his pluck guts which he showed in the cross-country when he took just one stride between the double instead of two, and awarded him with an eight for cross-country jumping technique and a  7.5 for canter. Zion is bred and owned by Mrs. E. Jeuker from De Mortel (The Netherlands).

Solitair offspring Zam W, bred by Mr. Wagenmans from Haarle and owned by the Bijsterveld family, was placed third. Emmy Bijsterveld rode an excellent cross-country test with the Solitair x Guidam offspring. The judge praised Zam W as being a ‘very lovely horse’
