Numero Uno “Keur”28 january 2008Wiemselbach stallion Numero Uno (Libero H x Lord Calando x Ahorn hann.) has been awarded “Keur” status by the KWPN. Numero Uno is one of the best producers in Dutch breeding and has supplied many champions of foal, mare and stallion grading shows.
During the National mare grading show Numero Uno’s elite daughter Willemijn, out of the international show jumper and stallion dam Herarda (Nimmerdor x Lucky Boy), was pronounced supreme champion of the jumping-bred keur and elite mares. This Numero Uno mare was crowned champion of North Holland in both 2006 and 2007 and was the supreme Ability star during the IBOB with a hitherto unknown high score of 91.5 points. Son Tyson (Numero Uno x Voltaire) pulled an incredible stunt during the Dutch Championships for young jumping horses. The 7-year-old Numero Uno stallion took the national title in 2006 as well as in 2007. Furthermore, during this Final Numero Uno was the top supplier with no fewer than 3 offspring. Numero Uno was also responsible for the paternity of both the champion as well as the reserve champion during the Hippiade. The Dutch title in the Z jumping class was won by the Numero Uno x Karandasj gelding Romantovich Take One who earlier the same year was also crowned province champion of Brabant in this class. The reserve champion was the KWPN-approved stallion Unaniem (Numero Uno x Voltaire). Just as in 2003 and 2005 the 2007 KWPN ability champion was a son of Numero Uno. Last year Warrant (Numero Uno x Nimmerdor) was the best jumping stallion. In 2003 and 2005, the stallions Tygo (Numero Uno x Purioso), and Van Gogh (Numero Uno out of the Preferente dam Movera v.Bernstein) who still holds the record for the highest score ever, preceded him.
